Selfishness

October 30, 2005 / by psychovirus

How many people out there know someone who is so focused on themselves that they hardly notice anyone else? All of you? Very likely. What is the problem here? Selfishness. This person is so intent on what she or he wants, that he or she cannot see what someone else may want, need, or desire. What should they do instead? Think of others.

How is this to be accomplished? Forget the memories that make you think of others. That is the beginning of a major behavior change. The subconscious mind has been told to stop using memories that have done what they could to make you think of others. Because of your life experiences, these memories have failed to be your behavior. Instead they trigger other memories which cause you to think of yourself instead. The end result is that you have been very selfish for a long time.

Let's finish this quickly so that you can become a thoughtful person. Remember the memories that let you think of others. This statement gives your subconscious mind the instructions to use memories you already have of thinking of others. These memories will allow you to think of others. They will also allow you to think of yourself. From now on you won't think only of yourself.

What a change! What an improvement! People like others who think of them. You'll be a more socially desirable person because of this. Others will be attracted to you. You will see!
