All right, the time has come. You are the one to make that presentation in front of everyone. It could be at school. It could be at work. It doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you have to speak in front of a large group of people. Hey, if you don’t trust your speaking, a large crowd can be 5 people!
One of the worst things that have happened to those who hate public speaking is that someone has criticized, ridiculed, or otherwise made fun of you when you did some public speaking. These kinds of memories destroy your trust in your speaking. Yet they are the very memories that are guiding your behavior.
So, we shall change this behavior now. Forget the memories that make you trust your speaking. Such memories have only set off memories that kept you from trusting your speaking. Now they won’t. Your subconscious mind has been told to cease using these memories.
Now, remember the memories that let you trust your speaking. With this statement you will be able to trust your speaking. Your subconscious mind knows which memories to use for this behavior. It will use these memories now.
This is the last part of the series on self confidence. These helps combined give you the ability to trust yourself in full. All parts of you are trustworthy. Now that you can trust all parts of yourself, your confidence will blossom. This isn’t to say that you will be conceited or egotistical. Oh, no! It simply means that your confidence as well as your self esteem are enabled to be what they should have been all along. This is a life changing experience.
